Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Progress is slow but all decals are now in the right place. Waiting for the ordered crankset and brakes...

This is gorgeous. Celeste is always my favourite color for bikes and you sure know how to play with this color. Show us more pics! Maybe throw in some celeste side wall tires too?

Maybe you can have some rims painted and custom wheels made? Or is that going too far?

Not that it will matter once it's taped, but why is only the left drop painted on the handle bar?

The paint on the drops is just some surplus from the spray painting. Only the top of the bars have a full coat. Installed BB cups (Record), headset (Record), crankset (Chorus) and bottle cages (Chorus) today.

eh...way too much celeste for my taste. maybe if the saddle and the bar tapes were black I could handle it.

and way too many decals/name spammage on it. but then again most my bikes have had their names removed from the frame so i might just be used to that.

I admit, it is pretty eye catching though

how much that paint job set u back?

€353 ($492) - frame, fork, handlebar and painjob totalled €771 ($1074) - total cost of the bike (with Nucleon wheels) €2088 ($2909)
