Grease Noob, I have a question
I am going to be receiving my new bike very soon, I read that it is proper to grease the pedal thread of your pedals before you tighten them. So... I have white lightning lube and I have some brake caliper Synthetic GREASE which my dad used... The white lightening is a wax based lube while the brake caliper grease has the following it is synthetic grease containing molybdenum disulfide, graphite and teflon. It says it contains Polyalp*****fin and other crazy names.
Which one should I use or should I buy another grease? If I need something else try to give me a brand I can buy at my local walmart, please. I think I know how to apply it, with grease I would put some on my finger and wrap it around the pedals thread and install it like always, the lube is a squeeze bottle.

I don't really know anything about the ones you've mentioned, but a safe bet is to go down to your LBS and ask them what they use in the shop. Chances are they might even carry it. My shop uses Phil, so do I.

that synthetic grease your dad has should be fine.
the suggestions about anti seize is better but grease would be good. i use a teflon grease by Weldtite.

Absolutely. That grease would also work well for just about all your needs on the bike. That's got everything you need. More than you need, actually. Good stuff. Wipe it around the threads on the pedal spindle, and also put a little on the threads in the crank. That way you know you've got good coverage. Wipe off the excess once you have the pedals thoroughly tightened. You know about the reverse threading on the left-side pedal, right?
