Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I grew up in Ontario California and still use "Cali" on forums after being asked what part of Ontario Canada I'm from after posting "Ontario CA" as my hometown.
You are in the minority, but you are allowed to say it because you at least live here.

True, same as those people who says "TJ" are not from Tijuana! :-)

Yeah, and people who say Indy aren't from Indianapolis. Oh wait.

Well, its 47 windy and rainy here today....east coast of central FL....its all relative...after living here for 30 years I relish in the 90 degree summer days and usually love the winters....not this year...I cannot remember it being so cold for so long here.....usually its an occaisional day in the 50's among the usual 70 degree winter days...for the past month its been an occaisional day in the low 60's with the norm being in the 40's, maybe low 50's....can't wait till August....well at least its not snowing....

Your right.....weather in Florida has been fabulous (said sarcastically). So far this year I have commuted in 26.5 work days.

8 trips have been between 65 & 75
16 trips have been between 55 & 65
14 trips have been between 45 & 55
9 trips have been between 35 & 45
6 trips have been below 35

8 of these trips have been in the rain......

I realize these stats are nothing compared to those in the north......
but when I lived in Fairbanks, AK, I commuted regularly in the Fall, Spring & Summer......
On a Super Bowl bet, I commuted the 14 miles to the office in -60 temps...I actually had won the bet, but couldn't let my coworker ride alone. We both rode home that night also.

to quote a frequently mentioned comment......there is no bad weather, just bad clothes.
