There's something going on that is really wrong. It can't all be down to the individuals.

We're a fat nation, period. This was clearly demonstrated when I did some clothing shopping the other day. Inexplicably, I'm now a large, borderline medium, for shirts. In what kind of effed-up, bizarro world is a guy that's a hair under 6' and a hair over 200 pounds not an XL?

This might have something to do with it:

the 41 sucks. you try to add content and the peanut gallery come in and raise the noise/signal ratio so high that it's pointless to do anything but make snide remarks.

I do rather enjoy making snide remarks though.

Actually I'd say it's pointless to even enter the 41... you might feel like you're "above" them but in reality you're just sinking to their level (of pointlessness). Resist the temptation. Stay clean.

I can now see why you were able to go 45 mph for as long as you did. Your math is extremely suspect.

my friend just got back from NY and he said it was unbearable there. i think he meant the heat but maybe there is something else unbearable about ny.

Oh good grief. 82F?

That's the brutal heat?

It's been around 80F here at midnight recently.

[Psst, Razor. -30 Celsius = -22F. I'm sure you were doing a lot of riding in that.]

ridethecliche 06-29-10 02:55 PM

I did my first grocery run on the commuter today.

Sweet - I'm buying my wife a, as Felt calls it, cafe bike, and I'm secretly eager to steal the damn girlie thing for a grocery run.

coasting 06-29-10 03:30 PM

It is so unbearably hot tonight, I've been reduced to lying here naked drinking ice tea. When the tea has to be cold, it is hot. I don't take that decision lightly.
