1 bad thing about riding later in the day is gnats. Fly into your mouth, then you try and spit them out and another flies into your mouth.

breath through your teeth, automatic filter.

Your choices sound pretty nice. Have you had it faced? I thought mine looked fine and finely broke down and took it in after trying about everything else ($20 at the LBS) - worked.

No It was ok for an entire year and a bout 2000 miles, then last week I started hearing a click when the right pedal is at about 2:30, but only when spinning. Its silent if I am mashing or out of the saddle. I have done all the other stuff lubed eeverything, still..... click click click.
Its better than the litespeed. That is a knock knock knock. On either side when I am out of the saddle. Oh well, I still have the Orbea' if I have to ride.

Noises are a PIA, my toughest one was the facing thing, have also had a pedal go bad that sounded like it was coming from the back.

You give me hope and rationalization for growing the fleet.... Look dear, all the other kids have lotsa nice bikes (for my wife, who checks occasionally checks my BF activities).

I was loyal to the GP3000s and 4000s. Loyalty is important, so I never considered a different tire because the Contis performed so well.

Then a buddy gave me the Pro3s. Incredible. They're fast like the 4000s, excellent in the rain, and the flat protection has been spectacular. The same result on both bikes.

I have no interest in Crits. Was my thing (was the only thing going on) 20 years ago. The ground seems harder now.

well, maybe a little interest, but only if I could get dropped quickly and ride safely by myself. Shouldn't be to hard.

Good to hear. I've been riding Vittorias of various flavors so these will be new for me. The group ride guys seem to like the Pro3s.

There are, of course, exceptions. I have the body for the 33, but I choose to mingle with the common cyclists in the 41.

It's now 11:18 PM EDT. I just watched the Versus TdF wrap-up on Versus. You know what that means for your Uncle Pcad.

Time to crash.
