Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'd get two rather than one wheel.

Well there you go... although you didn't mention durability.

Tell you what, flip a coin.

If you could totally go either way, it doesn't matter; if you actually have a preference, you'll find out from your reaction to the result.

The Mavic is not in the same class as the Dura Ace. The Dura Ace's hubs are better - especially the rear hub- and the Mavic does not have structural carbon, just fairing.

I'll pick the Dura Ace C50 clinchers over the Mavic Cosmic Carbone any day.

YMMV.

And at $990 for the Shimanos, that is an effing great price. The cheapest I have seen them is about $1200.

Could you be kind enough to PM me where you found that price? Thanks
