I'm pretty disappointed in myself. Went out with the intention of riding for 2 hours. At about 55 minutes the group I was in split in 2, with the half I was in giving up. I tried to close the gap but it was too large and too windy and I didn't make it. I probably could've but I just gave up. Then the wind broke my spirit riding solo and wen't home. Not happy with myself at all. I should've waited for the group to come back around, I was finding the pace pretty easy which means my fitness is coming up, the last time I did that ride I was dropped in about 15 minutes. Weather.com was reporting the wind at 21 mph sustained with stronger gusts. You know it's bad when it doesn't say if it's cloudy, sunny, or partly cloudy, it just said WINDY in capital letters.

Depends on his and max and LT HR. He hit 196 on that ride, so assuming that is his absolute max (in reality it is probably higher, it's really hard to hit your actual max), that's only 86%. Not shabby but not like he was killing himself either.
Yaniel, I'm not trying to take anything away from your workout, just illustrate (as I'm sure you well know) that you can't judge someone else's workout by looking at their HR and comparing it to how you would have felt if it were your own.
Edit:
Yep, there you go...

It only gets sketchy traffic-wise if you keep going further north. For example coming back south on the 101 from Mariposa Reina, you have to pass over a bridge with no shoulder. When they do the AIDS Lifecycle ride, they actually close one of the lanes to traffic over the bridge so that cyclists get a full lane.

Tried to do some anaerobic intervals today. It was super windy, and its very hilly where I live, so you never really get a chance to 'recover'.

The important thing is if you go back again, and again. Even if you do get dropped.

Almost the same loop from last Thursday. First day I've felt good since the flu got me. Upped my average speed.

Off road ride, I go off road when it's raining. Good climb but slow going :-)

Group ride tonight at 75th street brewery. This ride is ok but waaayyyyy too many stop lights. Brings the speeds way down. I sucked at clipping in today for some reason. Oh well.

For you guys with the Edge 500 - remember to disable elevation correction. That feature uses known elevation profiles based on GPS to correct for GPS's that DO NOT have altimeters, such as the Forerunners. The Edge 500 (among others) does have built in altimeters so correction is not needed.

Lunch time ride.

For those with Edge 305, is the elevation data not trustworthy? The data in the GPS shows twice as much as the map I created in bikeroutoaster (via google.)

This is my normal ride to work and home. I toss in a few extra climbs for training stress.

Quick ride this morning with fellow BF member. An added plus was that we were running late and had to push the pace more than usual.

If i map the route in an app like google earth, would it give me a more accurate idea of the elevation data?
