Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Continental Supersonic inner tubes - flats

Two pinch flats within 500 miles of riding (tires are new Conti GP 4000 S). I always ride with about 110 psi (I'm 162 lbs).

Previous 4 years of riding - zero flats over same roads.

I'm going back to cheapo, heavy tubes.

Ultralight tubes are easier to install incorrectly.

I've been happy with Vittoria ultralite tubes since they were recommended to me in GP4000s. Don't like Conti tubes in general. It could be an install problem ... but try different tubes.

I've had one too many valve stems separate from ultralight tubes. I'd rather count grams elsewhere.
