Here is a video I took last January where I got dropped in one of those hills (the guy leading the charge up those hills is riding a fixie):

Quite frankly there is too much freaking data there for my taste. I mean, don't get me wrong. Nice videos, lots of time spent editing/uploading, great scenery, nice rides, etc. However, looking at all the tachometers/gauges is too distracting.
BTW, how long does it take you guys to upload videos in HD to youtube? I just uploaded a family video that was 9:30 or so and it took like 30 min to upload on an internet cable connection. 45 min later, it is still not processed by youtube, so it looks like crap despite the HD format.
This has got to be the one video that has the least amount of shaking and moving despite the camera position. Could you please post a picture of how you have your camera attached to the drops?

I've rolled my own software to overlay the telemetry. I probably would have used dashware or trackvision if I had been aware of them when I started, but now I'm happy that I've gone this route as I can display exactly the data that's of most interest to me without obscuring too much of the video. Further, I can plug an Ant+ USB stick into my laptop and display realtime HR and power data as well, which allows me to watch my races and reproduce the efforts on the trainer.

Great first posts there - I made a decision after yesterdays brush with catastrophic stupidity to put away 20 bucks a week. Hopefully around this time next year I'll get some shmancy fancy wheel with a powertap device. I'll stick with my current Cateyes for now and just buy the whole thing at once. Hate to invest in a G500 now only to find the 7 on sale later :/ plus the added... no killer ability that would actually make those videos cool looking.

Here is the video from my race on Sunday. I edited it down to a nice and tidy 10 minutes for youtube consumption. This was supposed to be 5 laps of a roughly 15 mile circult for 75 miles, but stupidly I attacked a few minute into the first lap to try to bridge to a break of 3 up the road. I was joined by another guy and kept going way harder than I should have and was subsequently dropped shortly after the group caught me. It was a monumentally stupid move, but it was fun.

Some really cool videos posted in here! that said, here's an unspectacular video from a ride I did this past weekend. My favorite sequence is the footage shot at the 7K elevation point. It was mile 70 or so (and over 10K climbed) for most of the cyclists, and it pretty much showed with everyone's pace, which if they were going more than 6mph at that point, they were flying!

The commentary helps to get a real feeling for the race. I can almost feel your pain!

Was there a constant 40kph sidewind or is the camera just mounted at an angle?
I was expecting you to fall over, and then when that dualie drove by and obliterated you with that black exhaust I was surprised you didn't collapse.

I started carrying 2 rocks in my jersey now for *******s just like him. Water bottles don't do them big trucks justice, so I have resorted to trying to break out a window. Only when I am not in my team kit of course. Thus far, only one idiot has stopped after I pelted their vehicle, and when he stepped out of the vehicle he realized I wasn't one of them whippet cyclist. I guess 6'2" at 230LBS, football linebacker style, kind of scared him back into the car. At that point I became the ******* and tormented him at the red light in front of his girlfriend. Awww!

Oh I will agree that it is pretty dumb, but I am tired of these Chicago people and their attitudes. I have a fighting background, so I think that makes it worse when an idiot does **** like that to me when I am riding. This year though seems to be a much higher incident rate thus far. The past 2 years, I could count on one hand the amount of times I was buzzed. As a matter of fact, I got buzzed by wannabe gang bangers the other day in a local town and I smacked their car with a water bottle. Just so happens a cop witnessed the whole thing, so I thought I was screwed, but I really didn't care. Nope, cop busted the wanna be gang bangers, and about 10 minutes later he pulled me over to tell me the good news. In the long run, I think I have the right to defend myself. If I hit the wrong person and get my ass handed to me, it wouldn't be the first time for a good ass whoopin' and I am sure it won't be the last. If you give me space and let me ride, I will wave and give you a thumbs up, and if I catch you at the light I will tell you thanks and that I appreciate your safety and driving style
