Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well its the aspect of crashing.... watching or hearing anyone take a hit like that just makes me cringe. no hard feelings, just remember from now on that bikers are sensitive to that sort of thing, just like a race car driver probably doesnt like watching videos of race crashes.

You're right, this thread is obviously about running.

This is my thread, I can do what I want. You should note however, that I was riding my bike when I shot the video, I just had the camera pointed behind me

Cool video, Mr. Beanz! I couldn't help but think of a nice fresh tomato when I looked at the knee wound. Mighty nice shade of red, that is. If you're lucky it'll scar up nicely! I'm proud of my cycling scars; they're proof I get out and DO things!

You guys are a bunch of poo-seas. What is so disgusting about a few drops of blood? You have never seen an accident? You have never seen blood?

Ive seen plenty of accidents. Thats why i dont need to see any more in a thread that was specifically initiated to show rides that meant something and showed changes in speeds and elevations. You should post your accident videos in an accident video thread, since this is a "ride video thread" not a "crashing video thread."

he's supposed to clear the path for the lead runners. I do the ocean swim and sometimes the run too. I swam but it was soooo cold yesterday!

That will be the day when someone in BF answers the questions asked or actually replies in regard to the name or subject of the thread. You must be confused............

Team sky training in Amsterdam, apparently the camera in the car is a GoPro HD... according to Michael Barry:

Unfortunately, even pro teams are not immune from crazy people. Closeup of a water bottle hurled from the yellow car:

^ Must have been windy - looked they their wheels were catching some crosswinds; they were pretty twitchy.

The yellow car makes me want to get a cam and record every ride I go on, despite them being slow and uninteresting.

Actually , that looks like my Flip, too rectangular to get a steady shot with the high profile. Works a little better on the helmet.

This is the handlebar mount, some vibration at 30 mph.

Did you make that mount? or where did you purchase it??

Still working on my mounting system for the road bikes, but here's a mtn bike video I shot last week at Wompatuck State Park. The ride was cut short when I imbedded a twig in my forearm and had to go to the ER.
