Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I lucked out (yet again.)

Replace the crank with a compact one over the weekend.

Decided to bike straight to work instead of using the bus in the middle (37 miles, feels great.)

Got to work and discovered that 3 of the 5 chainring bolts are missing and the other two are loose. I guess I should count my blessing my chainrings didn't disintegrate going downhill, or in traffic.

So far:

- When visiting by friend for a ride, I didn't realize that I put the bike under garage door and have the door landed on the brifter (on the groove, pushing it down.) Nothing broken.

- Bike on the bus' bike rack and the bus get crashed into it by a tractor trailer, bike is okay.

- Today's event.

A cat has 9 lives, how many does my Merlin have?

OTOH, are those screws standard or do I have to get Campy ones? I think I will need to get a T27 torx screwdriver also.
