Help picking out an aluminum bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You can only get away with that with Di2.

Congrats! I love my S1. Another thing I don't think I mentioned, especially if you're doing triathlons, is that I think the alloy frame will stand up better to the rigors of the triathlon life. Before anyone slams me, let me explain... Inevitably, someone is going to knock you bike off the transition rack and you won't have to worry about cracks, just scratches or dents. And, yes, came back into transition on Sunday and my bike was racked backwards (like I wouldn't notice!?!?) and scuffed. Grrr, that really iritates me. But, it still rode fine. Maybe no one will beat up a bike enough in transition to hurt carbon, but I'm not going to take the chance. Like I stated in another post, a girl in the group I ride with showed up on an S1 (actually, I think it was a soloist based on it's age) with a couple of huge dents and she had no issues riding it. And, you won't be part of any of the threads with the pictures of the hairline fractures in the carbon frame (maybe the fork, but not the frame). Keep riding! And, wow, 50 without shorts?!?!? Sorry, my butt ain't that tough.

BF people seem to love his wheels, and his bike frames look very nice too:

Could build up a very cool and unique ride for OP's price range.
red white black too!
