Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

thoughts on my setup?

ive been going around flipping stems on my bikes lately, and here is the result on my flexy buddy, the Masi.
i also tried lowering the stem, as you can see. ive ended up with more saddle-bar drop than my felt f3. i took it for a test ride, and i like the position. only problem is that in the drops, the brooks saddle cracks me in the Tom Boonen. maybe i can tip the nose down a tick.

question: do you see anything objectively wrong with the setup? i defer to your collective experience.

I think the set up looks fine, as is. One thing I find with saddle angled a tick down, is sliding forward. Then I have to push myself back with my arms. Not fun.

Give it a try, though, and see how you feel about it. You also my try lowering the saddle half a centimeter, too.

dont forget that by lowering the stem like that you have also increased your reach by about 6 or 7 mm which is also going to increase the chance of seat comfort issues. try a stem 10mm shorter
