Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Long sleeve jersey like this:

I'm a little late to the game to get this jersey in my size it appears. Only one place on the planet has my size and colour left (discontinued) and they want $198 to ship it from Denmark. Not the colour below though. [Laughter track plays]

Can anyone recommend a dry weather, windproof, thumb hole, high neck jersey with a breathable back and full zip?

I know I'm asking a lot but these are features that match my body, climate and the fact I don't ride in the rain. I've thought about the Castelli Fusione jacket (below, obviously) and just going layers but I want to keep on the jersey side of things with a single wicking layer. I prefer fabric weave over plastic sheet.

Has to look sharp too. I don't want to look my age.

realcyclist.com seems to have what I'm looking for but it's a compromise. The Prologo jersey even comes with a free cap and it's on sale in my colour/size. Not sure I'll pull the trigger but on a side note their service response (email) is quick and clear. Hope this helps someone searching in the future.

Buy the colder stuff off season and save some bucks I figure. Tried on a Venture jacket yesterday and the Medium fit best. This castelli sizing has me at XXL for best fit. WTF. I'm still going to hunt some more...

I think that's a hot lookin' jacket (the black and white one) and seems like a bargain at $80. Let's see...winter jacket/jersey or new helmet?

Not so keen on the jersey, but their brew is awesome!
