Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think I'm liking this suggestion right here. Matches the wheels. Matches the crank. May not "pop" too much, but that might be okay.

I'd also suggest red. I went from white tape on my Roubaix to red. Doesn't look quite as dirty. You might take a look at the Specialized tapes. They make an "all red" and a "red with white dots" tape. Both are pretty comfortable.

I like that with the red.

I think I could achieve the gray if I just never clean the white

It's what I did on my Parlee with Reynolds Attacks. The frame is grayish as are the wheels. Everyone likes it.

Little off topic.....How do you like your Felt F3? I absolutely love mine. I personally like the white seat and white tape (thats what i have as well) I'm even getting the white Time iclic racers to go along with the white look.

i think it's great, though it's above my level. i haven't raced it. in fact, when i bought it, it was new but the shop was trying to get rid of it. i told them the $3800 was out of my range, so they swapped RED for RIVAL and brought the price down significantly. i figured that it made more sense to invest in the frame and upgrade components as my ability improved. i've been happy with it so far!

since that pic i've switched to white LOOK Keo MAX's to try out the wider platform.
i've also gotten a better computer, flipped the stem, and lowered the handlebars (removed spacers)

Here's an option if you want to to try Red:
https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=S0158

or White with Red:

I know you are proud of your bike and this post gives you a chance to post an image , but 3 pages of responses to "what color tape to use ?".
Noobs get jumped on for using the wrong terminology here , yet questions like this get a welcoming response. 40 years of taping bars and I never had to ask for help.
I must have the magic eye. Go ahead and flame. Frisky

for the record, i would never jump on anyone for using incorrect terminology and i have spoken out against bashing people for posting about aesthetics. note that nobody asked for "help" taping bars, nor did anybody make a post to show off a bike. what you're doing right now is no different than the people who flame "noobs."

but thanks for bringing negativity into my thread!

A white Fizik Arione - what else?

I've got a white Arione, with the black center stripe, on my white/black Addict R3. I like the slipperyness of the white Ariones. Well, the lack of friction as compared to the black ones anyway.

Oh, I almost forgot. I've got the gray Michelin Pro 3's on the Parlee. It's all in the details. (And black Conti 4000's on the Scott with the shineyer black paint.)

I was concerned that the Reynolds logo on the Assaults would be a bit much, but the font is such a close match with the Parlee logo (I have the blue background), that it looks good. Again, details.
