Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

CST tires?

Anyone have any experience with CST tires? The Criterium or Forte models?

Bikes: Too many bikes, too little time to ride

cst is the manufacturer for maxxis, and some other brands. they just recently started selling tires under their own name.

pretty crappy tires, i have a set of czar on my fix gear beater.

the material separation was pretty crappy comparing to conti.

i got them because they are cheap and i need tires fast, no flat yet so that's the good thing(so far)

My bianchi came with CST czar tires. They're basically crap. I will change them out with something else eventually but unfortunately these are brand new so I can't justify it for a while.

I am currently running cst ultra speeds on two bikes. 2000 miles on the first rear tire before replacement. Kevlar belt one flat in a combined 3500 miles on both bikes. LOVE THEM. Roll well. corner well. Good all aroung tires.
