Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ever bought jerseys on ebay?

most jerseys on ebay have sponsor/team names on them or the name of the event. you guys ever buy these jerseys? I just need cycling jersey, cant spend that much money and dont want to look ridiculous wearing biker shorts with a tshirt. would wearing these be "Fred"-ish?

I have, although it was a sentimental jersey I had an affiliation (Encino Velodrome juniors program). I've also sold many jerseys on ebay and know that they usually sell really cheap (as in $2 to $10 each in good condition). When new jerseys cost even $25 from love2pedal, that's still a big savings. As long as you don't mind wearing sponsors and events you have nothing to do with, go for it. Other people seeing you on the road won't know any better. You run the slight chance of finding a person familiar with the jersey who asks about it, but a quick "I dunno, I got the jersey on ebay" will probably end that conversation.
