Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, I can't seem to find the SLT01 frameset ANYWHERE! Completely bummed!!

I guess the SLR is next.

Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

Oh darn. Guess you have to settle for one of those.

Out of curiousity, what kind of damage did the Assault sustain?

It's warped. Enough so that a new rim is needed. Apparently Reynolds can rebuild the wheel with new spokes and carbon fibre for $450.

I actually really really loved the SLT frameset. It had the best design and paint job and it was extremely fast and responsive.

SLR does look refined though.

Cut out the headtube and turn it into a swivel-mount toilet paper hanger...always a great conversation piece.

Damn, what a shame. Nearly lost my bike to a deer today, but that at least would've made for an interesting conversation. Hope everything gets worked out, I've never had to deal with insurance regarding bikes, is it a difficult/lengthy process, or are they familiar with the price of high-end bikes these days?

Thanks.

The agent I talked to was nice enough to mention that it's no use to send out their adjusters because they wouldn't know anything about the bike anyways. She did mention she knew the bike "wasn't a Huffy". LOL!!

I'll have *something* in the works for that! My wife wants me to mount it on some velvet with a cardboard backing and fishwire, then frame it.
