Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's like asking if a bottle of Merlot is better than a bottle of single-malt Scotch. It's going to boil down to personal preference. A saddle that works for one is not guranteed to work for others. There is no such thing as a universally fitting saddle.

Selle Italia Trans Am is a nice saddle. It's a bit pricey, but then saddles are one area you don't want to go cheap on...
you may also want to try a product by Paceline called Chamois Butt'r. Great stuff, especially if you like to go long and hard, or both! have fun.

yeah I know it's all subjective, but you cant deny that fiziks are the most popular saddles overall. Some people go with selle italia, others with san marco, but the majority go with fizik. Why do you think this is?

The same goes with shoes; some people buy nikes, other diadoras, but everybody knows that Sidis are the best.

I've tried them, the fiziks and none worked for me. I take it with a grain of salt all the riders that bought one,200 bucks worth and they all love them. If i paid that and could'nt return it,i'd love it to.

I love the WTB Speed She, rode 426 miles this week (a six day tour + a century), no problems. I absolutely hate saddles with cutouts, including the Terry Butterfly.

I also prefer Ti rails, even though I'm small, ti rails feel more supportive.

How's your bike fit? No saddle will feel good if your fit is off!

Okay. I read that wrong at first but at least it got me to chuckle.
