That isn't his frame. I think the owner of that bike walked away. The only guy that was seriously injured was riding a Pinarello Prince, which looked completely fine afterwards.

Bikes: 2012 MotorHouse road bike. No. You can't get one.
Sheesh!! It took 24 posts to get "What stem is that?" and like 14 to get "Hope you picked up the wrapper".
But no one... no one... has chastised them for crossing the yellow line! What's wrong with you BF peeps??

Glad you're (apparently) not hurt too bad, umd. I'll have to come out some Sunday, show you folks how to properly get shelled off the back.

It's much easier to justify the base layer if you live on the Western side of a continent. It's usually too humid to justify out here. I'm well aware of the protection that a base layer provides, but the risk of crashing is small enough that I prefer to stay cooler. But it is one of the things I like about riding and racing in the colder months.

i kinda just read half the thread, and saw the video...I would have wobbled over to the ****** sucking it down the middle lane and punched him square in the f****ing nose! if he leads out like that..shouldnt he not break off right and the pack goes by on his left, he'll get absorbed back in down line somewhere. Seems to me he just lost his head...and you almost lost your in the process.
Sorry to hear it happened. Hopefully a cold beer and some tylenol can take some of the pain away

Wow, crazy wreck. One of those times you only have time to say "Oh *****" and no time to react. Glad to hear everyone is somewhat okay, and base layers are ftw!

Another good reason to wear base layers is to prevent your nipples from poking through. Some people like it, but most don't really.

Maybe it wasn't the base layer at all - maybe it was the Clif bar you ate that gave you special powers.
