Thank you so very much all! I hope to have the fitting process done today or tomorrow, and then I'll take it out on a big circuit where I always see local cyclists.
Thank you, IndependentMind! The shoes are nice! I was so extremely nervous to go with the SPD-SL type pedals as opposed to the ability to clip in on both sides of the Speedplay, but after just 15 minutes of practice and about 4 Stop signs in my first ride, I've gotten it down pretty decent. Always room for improvement though! The CAAD9s are nice, I just wanted to make sure I get something new that featured a warranty and a free fitting. Riding this is quite strange. My body has adjusted to riding a very under size 1988 Raleigh Talon for commuting and trail biking. The full extension in the legs and arms is an unusual feeling. The fitting should help, at least I'll know if the feeling is right and just something I need to get used to doing.
Yes, it is a 2012. I paid $1800 for it plus money for shoes, pedals, and tax. Ironically, what threw me over the top was the free water bottle cage. I know it's not much, but I was struggling to swallow the price in the shop. Adding an extra $30+ would have hurt me. I'm a college kid. I like free stuff.
A Cannondale dealer I called placed a call to Cannondale for any 2012 stock remaining. Cannondale (as of 8-9 days ago) has SuperSix 6 in 54 and 56 and SuperSix 3 in 56. All really nice bikes, I just figured I'd check out this CAAD10 3 as it has been one of the bikes I drool over.
Sorry about the long post! Just thrilled! Weather looks somewhat warm on Tuesday, and I already have a mountain bike session planned. Maybe I'll have two rides and a run!

THSdrummer,
These are very touchy words.
Congratulations. My second bike was full Ultegra group on Reynolds 853 frame.
And the first was 1982 ...
And was a huge step forward and I thought that I did not do much in my life to deserve it.

Congratulations on purchasing a fantastic bike!
Well, after looking at road bikes for 4 years, I've finally pulled the trigger. I purchased her yesterday, and spent the evening practicing clipping in and out. Took her around the neighborhood today for a quick 35 degree ride. The bike shop I purchased from only does bike fittings during the week, so hopefully I can go out there tomorrow and get fitted. With compliant weather, I've scheduled a ride with a friend for Tuesday!

I know I may not "deserve" this bike, but I was looking to make an investment for several years. This should curb my desire to upgrade for quite some time. The shoes and pedals were not what I originally intended, but in the store, I figured I'd save some money here and upgrade shoes at a later date when these wear out. The shoes and pedals were 50% off, otherwise I probably would be on Speedplay right now. Or, saving for a set of pedals and shoes.
I know it's not the best picture, and I apologize. This is just a phone picture I took to commemorate the moment.
Thank you!

99Klein, thank you! Yes, the MSRP for 2012 CAAD10 3s was $2200 (I believe). 2013's MSRP is $2450. Finding a new 2012 CAAD10 in stock right now is probably pretty difficult. This was the last 2012 CAAD10 I could find in the KC metro area, but I didn't call 2 stores. Lucky me it was my size and the components I desired!
Thank you!!

Could any of you CAAD guys help me out here?

I have a brand new (made in USA) 2010 CAAD9 frameset with BB30, although it appears that the frameset already has threaded adapters installed in it. Was this factory Cannondale? I don't think the reseller did this, but I can't be sure.

Previous owner probably did.
It's probably one of these: https://www.fullspeedahead.com/produc...d-Adapter-68mm

I didn't even know a two-piece threaded adapter even existed ... of course, I'm no expert. Can you tell if it's Loctite'd in?

The day went successful. Spent my late morning on a trainer being fitted (included with the bike purchase). I can honestly say, I feel 4.5x better on the bike now. Just a minor height adjustment with the saddle and stem, and I feel at one with the bike.
Certainly wouldn't be at this level if I had gone used, since I more than likely couldn't have afforded this fitting. I also got an important information that explains why, ehhmmm, certain parts are going numb. Thankfully, it's all fixed. Applied the new technique to the mountain bike tonight and rode for 2 hours and didn't feel bad at all.
I'm thrown on what pedals I have, and I need to make sure I was charged for the correct set. I was under the impression I had Ultegra 6700 (I know very little about pedals, I spend most of my cycling research on components); however, my pedals do not say "Ultegra" on them, anywhere. I looked in the case today after fitting and realized the Ultegra's were a little bit wider material and had "Ultegra" printed on the back.
After looking at the Shimano website, I'm thinking I'm riding Ultegra PD-R670...? Seeing as there is no logo on the back.
Thank you all.

Thanks.
Those aren't the wheels for the build, just something to put on to see it on wheels. Actual wheel set should be coming any day. Scheduled delivery was the 17th, so uh... who knows?
Anxious.

EDIT: one more thought. 2010 was, I think, the first year for the BB30 on the caad. Could be that they had overstock on non bb30 cranks and were using them up. Pure speculation but who knows.

what wheels are you putting on it? what are those currently on there, they look a little like deep v's
#4221
Currently in the photo those are a fixed gear wheelset, Alex Sub 30's or something rather. A deep V clone pretty much. Came stock on my track bike and have since been replaced.

Pretty amazing turn around for a custom build. After my hubs got to him on the 5th (I ordered them from BDop and shipped em to RG), he had the wheels built by the 7th, and in the mail on the next monday, the 10th. And all this after I told him to take his time on them because I wasn't in need of them. I told him to finish his other Blackfriday/cybermonday rush orders before he got to mine.
Any day now.

Haven't been able to track down the Berserker Green, but I did hear back from Cannondale. If anyone is interested, the paint code is Dupont GSS089. Now, where to take this information to get some mixed up...
