Yeah, Praxis converter really opens perspective for one.
As for me, I am also thinking 6700vs6800, especially considering the fact that I am definetely building wheels on 6800 hubs. I also love brakes on newer 6800 - they seem more advanced. Its just that 6700 crankset looks better to me. I now its a stupid argument. but aestetics not the least thing when you are building it from scratch. PS - My frame was already sent to me by shop and is currently travelling in Europe)) |

Small improvements have been made which make setting up your bike easier. Like cable installation and clamp bolts are easier to access. The hoods,lever shape,ergonomics feel alot more natural to hold. i especially like (on the mechanical groups) how the brake lever curves outwards towards the fingers. I find i can hold the levers better and longer on descents without as much finger fatigue. The front and rear levers now require less effort to shift and feel more snappy and precise with better audible feedback. The rear shift lever throw has also been reduced. The SLR-EV brake calipers use a roller cam that moves along a curved arm which increases leverage force and power as you pull harder on the brake lever. They feel very powerful as a result. They have a lot of range of adjustment to find that 'sweet spot'. The braking action also feels very smooth when used with the included Shimano polymer coated cables. The polymer cables alone are a worthy upgrade for any groupset. But the best new feature and the one i was most impressed with is the long arm front derailleur. When properly set up it performs flawlessy. Its a massive improvement on the old ones. I find it very snappy and reliable and offers similar performance to a Di2 FD. So i would agree with rms13 11 speed shimano is much better than 10 speed in every way. The 11 speed groups arn't perfect by any means. No groupset is , but its a definite step up on the old shimano efforts. |

replacing cockpit and saddle countered the added weight of pedals, garmin mount, cages garmin sensor etc. Replacing the RS11s soon with a set of carbon tubulars which should shed another pound or so and put me at 17.5 or so. |

Yup, +1 to that from my experience. I have a 5700 and a 5800 bike currently. Front shifting is the biggest difference, but it's all a little bit nicer (just don't try to convince cale or sam_cyclist). That 11th gear means very little to me.
Hood ergonomics are much better too (at least for my hands). I could not go back to 10 speed big boxy hoods. But FD shifting is smooth and dreamy. I look forward to the new Tiagra 4700. 10 speed but will have same hoods, same FD and same cranks as 5800/6800/9000 and if pricing is still around $250 or better yet less at UK sites I'll be building a new bike. |

I have the caad black inc w/di2. Does any have the new HED Ardennes plus 25mm rim w/25 tire set up? If so, any problems with clearance? Thanks in advance ! |
