Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi guys! Just checking in with the Cult. I'd love to pick up a 12 someday, but for now here is my '13 10 built up with 6800 and RS81 C24. Still my favorite ride!

I have a 2011 CAAD10. Lots of upgrades but can't get myself to get a new bike. Just last week I was in Colorado and rented a carbon Tarmac Elite. OMG did I miss my bike. Everything about my CAAD I prefer over the Tarmac. I've been wanting to get a whole new bike for a while but this experience has totally changed my mind. CAAD's are fantastic.

I understand exactly what you mean. I've found myself loosing interest in riding lately and started looking at other bikes to try and spark my interest but after riding several new bikes I still prefer the way my Caad10 rides. Now, I'm in the process of buying a new Ultegra R8000/R8050 Di2 groupset to update my ride. Brakes are on the way from the UK, new R8000 cranks are sold out in my preferred spec, and all the Di2 stuff won't be released until August 11th. Can't wait to get it done.

If you have DI2 or eTap and would want to plug that CAAD12 frame holes, you might be interested in this.

I happened to watch one of the guy's youtube video while researching my issue of how to run brake wires into the CAAD12 frame.

https://www.shapeways.com/product/EH...2-cable-plug-1

I'm thinking of getting them but if anyone knows a better/cheaper option?

Hi all. I just got this bad boy from a guy who upgraded it with a better wheelset and Shimano 105s. I don't know much about road bikes yet (I rode an old school Fuji Fixie for years prior), but this appears to have a carbon fork and it feels like the bottom tube is carbon (is that even possible?). It rides pretty light and I feel like it is a great bike for me to log miles on (I do about 100 a week and slowly growing to around 140ish). Anyone familiar with this? I believe it is a 2004.

Do you all think I can put 25s on this bike? Pretty sure the Mavik Ksyrium wheels can handle that - how wide can I go on this frame?

EDIT - I can put 25s on it. And did. Now has Vittoria Rubbino pros. They feel real nice compared to the 23s.

Was out today on my CAAD9 and got hit by a car in the front wheel/fork/handlebar. I'm fine, but need to get a new fork as it was directly impacted. Suggestions for a full carbon fork with the same dimensions as the stock one? Or looking at ebay - does a super six fork work with the CAAD9?

I'm almost sure it works fine. Enve have good options in forks also, but pay attention on Rake measure. It should be the same or almost as original.

As long as you have the correct taper it should be fine. Some are 1/8 to 1/4 some are 1/8 to 1/2, and some (old ones) are straight with no taper

My '15 CAAD10 came stock with 25c Mavic tires. I have read that some 25 tires (specifically the gp4k's) might not fit with some of the newer wider wheels like Flo. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I use 25s on HED Ardennes, wich is wider than usual, but can't remmenber how much now. Almost sure it can handle a 28.

Thanks for the heads up. Mine came in fit nice and tight.. I did notice the New Caad12 EtAP has plugs. Might be able to order straight from Cannondale now?
