Andyz.....nice ride, have you thought about adding the Rival crank to finish out the group?

Hey guys. After lurking here for a while I purchased my first road bike today. I've been riding my Cannondale Quick 4 for about 1500 miles and thought I was ready for a road bike and wanted to stick with a 'dale. I went with the CAAD10 5 105 after trying to balance out reviews and my budget. Took this pic right when I got it home out of excitement so don't hate too much on its current configuration. I'll be taking off the reflectors and dork disk and adding a computer, new cage/bottle and new pedals once I'm acquainted with it. I've never ridden with drops except for my test rides and wanted to be fully comfortable with the bike before going clipless. They put on the Quick flats for now. I plan on going for a long ride first thing tomorrow morning. I know this bike is so far beyond my capabilities but thought it was something I could "grow" into.

I was wondering if the CAAD 10 5 is too much for me as well. Have been having second thoughts about a more upright riding position as compared to the CAAD 8 and synapse. But after seeing your pic (Joelpatrick) and your post I am going to pull the trigger.
I am hoping that initially I can set it up with a more upright riding position similar to the lower models but still have the ability to configure the bike in a more racing style if I ever want too. I noticed in the pics that it appears that your using all the spacers on the head tube for maximum height.

The bike is not to much for either of you, some of us are more fit than others, some of us are more flexible than others. Set the bike up in the way you feel is comfortable. If the full spacer stack with the stem up is for you then go for that. My stem is flipped down, but I still use my spacers. Enjoy the bikes, this is not the Hot or Not thread.

Took it out for my first ride today, still need to make some adjustments. But I figured this was my first chance to actually get it in sunlight, so took another picture for you guys.

Really just need to get new pedals and shoes, then dial in the fit a bit more. The only things I'm going to be changing are the stem and handlebars, I won't be upgrading the rival group set anytime soon. I didn't mean to imply that I'm replacing a ton of components.

I just bought a new stem a week before I decided to have a Guru dynamic fit done. So much for the new SL-K stem. Looking for a shorter one now. Do the fit first, you may save yourself some cash.

Out of curiosity, how are the color schemes organized ?
I only see certain schemes on the official website but often see others as some form of third party
And some like bbq have disappeared and be come wanted.
