Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A full blown TT bike with a Denali frameset, and an awesome text face for the thread title. I thought the road forum would like it, or atleast be amused somewhat. I can only try.

I was amused by that, briefly. More amusing was all the hijacking.

Bikes: Ever changing..as of 2-24-09: 2003 Giant TCR Team Once, Sampson titanium, 1992 Paramount Series 3, 2003 Cervelo P3, 70s Raleigh Record fixed gear, 70s Fuji SL-12 commuter, mid 90s Klein MTB. Plus two or three frames lurking, plus 5 wife/kids rides

You know, I have everything to make that bike a reality, except the actual starter bike. Somebody donate one to me and I'll build it and race it at the State TTs.

Bikes: Old Steelies I made, Old Cannondales

Back in the old days, my girlfriend wanted to try a bike race. She had a Ross or some other boat anchor type bike. I managed to fit a pair of racing tubulars on it for her 15 minutes of glory. Probably reduced the weight by 5 pounds .... down to 30 ....

Start up a fund and I will pitch in $5. Everyone can donate a dollar or .50 and you can buy that piece of crap on ebay. I would LOVE to see it built up with zipps, carbon aerobars, etc. I will help you attain this goal if you want to.

Imagine a thread here with REAL race pics of it at the state TT's. amazing!

She had hardly been riding, so she hammered the first couple of laps & blew up ..... but had fun.
