I'm the guy closest to the camera. For reals.

Obviously a lot of stuff going on there. I needed subtitles.

wow five pages back.

here's a reasonable tempo. You don't get the whole tune (around 10 mins). I think it started around 97 and made it to 105 or so (from memory).

I have some more where the tempo puts me into the bouncey RPM range of 125+, it's a study in me trying to keep from bouncing.

Oh, and if you think I am bouncing/rocking now, I'm not, it just looks that way because of the way I am built. The open jersey adds to that too.

Cool!

And proof positive that every adult in America does own, or has owned, a nordic track at some point in their life. Mine took up garage space for at least seven years...

Grumpy McTrumpy 11-05-10 04:27 PM

it is an excellent next-to-the rollers stand

DScott 11-05-10 04:35 PM

I'm sure. Do you know anyone who actually used it more than twice?

If I would have kept mine in the house, it would have made a great clothes hanger. Like the recumbent exercise bike. :twitchy:

At one point, I even considered salvaging the wood from it, but there wasn't enough of it to actually make anything bigger than a jewelry box or two. It got sold at a garage sale for $5, I think. I felt vaguely guilty when they took it away.

Come to think of it, the nordic track (and that damn exercise bike) is the reason I'll never buy rollers or a trainer, at least not while I live out here.

Grumpy McTrumpy 11-05-10 04:36 PM

the e-motions feel just like the road.

DScott 11-05-10 04:37 PM

You mean they're NOT " baby training wheel rollers"?

Grumpy McTrumpy 11-05-10 04:39 PM

I think he's just mad because his parents won't buy him a set.

DScott 11-05-10 05:20 PM

Maybe they wouldn't fit inside the trailer? He could always put them up on blocks in the front yard...

Brian Ratliff 11-05-10 05:29 PM

Grumpy: your front wheel roller looks like it is too far forward. It should be directly underneath your hub.

Grumpy McTrumpy 11-05-10 06:00 PM

perspective distortion

I don't understand how he can ride in those conditions. I need a television, movies, music - anything to keep my mind off the torture (and the clock).
The article does really make me wish I had the ability to train with power though.
