But seriously, what does obsess mean in context of next ride? What kind of ride? If you mean a challenging one with distance and elevation, or a timed event, then I can see being extra-aware about the details. But if you mean obsessing over the old standby 20 mile jaunt to give the heart and legs some what for, then you're doing it wrong.
You want obsession? Pcad obsesses over rides, bikes, annual mileage, components, his post count, the Mets, Domino's Pizza, plus many other things that can be found in great quantity on BF day after day, year after year.
