Bike tour company recommendation request
Want to ride in Europe this year and was looking for recommendations for good companies for a fully van supported trip.
Thank you.
Thank you.

How about Switzerland? I'm doing some work with a company called Bike Switzerland - 8+ day adventures across the country. The Challenge route, which hits as many beautiful lakes as possible, might be interesting for you. It can be done in a group with a guide or independently (but still with luggage transfers).

Depends what sort of touring you're looking for. If you are looking for sport oriented rides with other roadies over the big cols and TDF routes, rather than touring for the sake of touring, there are plenty of companies in the Alps and Pyrenees who do that. These guys are good, stayed with them in September. Highly recommended.

1. Cinghiale is Andy Hampsten's company. (www.cinghiale.com) No experience riding with them yet, but I'm signed up to try one of these next summer, and they've been great to deal with so far. Andy himself goes on all the trips and answers the phone when you call!
2. Backroads is also an excellent choice. (www.backroads.com) Never done any tours in Europe with them, but have done two in North America that were wonderful.
I'm guessing that the Cinghiale tours are slightly more hard-core than Backroads as a general matter, but both look great. Good luck!
