Pointless Rant

Nice folks say "hello". "Jerks and ASSbuckets" don't acknowledge...that pretty much sums it up. If someone takes the time to throw up a hand, and you're so high and mighty that you just ignor that person, then you are a charter member of one of the two clubs previously listed. Mail in your dues. I seldom waive first, but always respond in kind...called being courteous.

Let's get this correct. You waive, you open a door for someone, you let a car out in front of you, you say good morning to someone, and you don't expect even a response. I just added "strange" to my list. Also for you to insinuate someone is a "jerk" for expecting, what to most is common courtesy is STRANGE...Sorry....To ignor a friendly hello borders in the weirdo catagory +3

Well, there you go, OP. That was probably the important part of your story

I've also noticed that cyclists don't wave much. I've owned Jeeps and motorcycles, two groups that ALWAYS wave at each other. Cyclists, not so much. I always wave, but about 75% of the other guys just ignore.

If your precious ego can't handle not being waved at, don't go to Europe.
Wow. There's irony for you.

I wave at everybody. Probably more of them laugh at me than wave back.
Guys on recumbents are always telling me "This is what you should be riding." I think it's because I'm fat, but I like to think they're all just evangelists. A while back, I accidentally clicked on the recumbent forum when I was meant to click on the road forum. It made me feel dirty.

Well, in our defense, we tend to need both hands to ride depending on how hard we're riding. That's why I generally just give a friendly nod unless I'm costing.
