Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep - and I have only five fields on that page of my 705 so the lap time is real big and readable.

Can you adjust the measurement readings (km/h to MPH or vise versa)? And can you program the odometer on the unit itself?

Yes you can... very intuitive menu system, IMO... hard to enter names tho (like naming your bike) but is doable w/ a little patience. If you have the PC software, you might be able to type the fields an upload to the device, but not sure..

I really like you organization here. Think I will change mine correspondingly.

Just got back from a night ride of 40 miles. Love the organization.

By the way, a few nights ago, my Garmin 500 popped out of its mount after I rolled over a bump. A little sliver of plastic off the base of the unit was still stuck in the groove of the mount. Garmin is replacing it; according to the person I spoke to, some early models were made with defective plastic. For a few days, I have to use an iPhone app.
