Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seems like a lot of serious threads lately. Now if the threads "Sore Nipples" and "Between These" had been started by women, the tiptoeing would have been epic.

Maybe if some of the women would venture out of the exclusive "ladies only" forum it would spice things up a bit. And it doesn't only have to be the "fast" women to add their comments.

WTF? Have we lost all sense of humor, and irreverence on BF?

Somebody has to step step up to the plate and throw some **** into the fan.

They have. They do. They "used to" more than now it seems. Many post here in incognito ways as a way of not disclosing their gender.

On a serious note, I have actually wanted to come in and post a thread called "I Rode My Bicycle On The Road Today!" Because, oddly enough, there seems to be a shortage of road cycling activity going on, and too many people swapping widgets instead of riding bikes. I attribute that to the weather.

yeah but get real, most are monosyllabic responses to himself. The knowledge base of a 10 post newb may far exceed his or mine for that matter. post count equals really nothing.
now umd...thats a horse of a different color. his posts were often rude, but i really could care less. what i liked about umd was his willingness to really give good criticism and share knowledge. his presence is missed .

Well i will take the bait. i squeezed in a wonderful 30 mile ride at lunch today. the back roads i cycle on wre clear of snow/ice for the first time in 7 weeks, the temp 50, the sun powerful in a clear blue sky. spring is around the corner.
