Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

YAJT (Yet Another Jersey Thread)

I hope this doesn't spark the kind of craziness in my "Spandex" thread. My question is this: are there cycligng jerseys (and (bib) shorts while we're at it) which have NON-cyling team stuff on them? For example, despite the butchering by the Bosox, I would still be very interested in a NY Yankees cycling jersey. (<gasp> there are other sports out there?!? ) Or going to the Euro-side of things, a FC Barcelona jersey would rock too.

like yoohoo, animals, twinkies?

I'd love to have other sports on my cycling jersey, but man, that'd be a tight market. I bet only 20 people would buy a Dolphins cycling jersey.

I think you should just cut a Redsox emblem off a hat and sew it on your jersey...

With the current performance I think 2 would be more correct for the dolphins.

Just buy a replica jersey and wear that on the bike. Used to have an Ajax Amsterdam jersey.

Pose the question to the marketing departments for the teams, i.e. Red Sox. Write a decent position paper and they might surprise you.

I still root for them when they are playing, though at the moment I have to cringe at the same time.

I have a Marmite top from foska.com. On the expensive side but they look great. At least you didn't want a ManYoo top.

If I understand your question, haven't seen - but haven't looked either But if you're looking for plain stuff - Pearl, Descente and Castelli are good. You've probably seen all the beer/SpongeBob/Twinky/Cereal ones and assume you're not talking about those.

Some interesting jerseys at Kucharik that I've ordered before, but don't know of any that feature non-cycling sports teams on cycling apparel. Be interested in seeing what others may know of...

I have seen college jersey and for schools that do not have cycling teams. I have not seen any cycling jerseys for others sports teams.

Strangely enough, I spotted a Barcelona jersey (Nike) in my LBS today. Back at work I came across this forum as I was googling for an Arsenal jersey.

You can see the Barca item on

OMG dude that is freaking AWESOME!!! I wish they had a pic up. That would make an amazing birthday present for my bro too. I have about three weeks to get my hands on it, then. Now how do I order that thing? Suggestions?!?

Hmmm, my bro is one skinny guy, so it would suit him, but probably not me. So, again, anybody know where I could actually get one? It doesn't look like that link lets me buy one.

They're also on the Trek site - go to the trek store link.

Not a lot available though & $105!! - hope your bro's been good!

Good luck - maybe some manufacturer will look at this idea for their range

I was looking to complete my poser image and was wondering if anyone knew of a place (besides e-bay) to pick up a retro 7-eleven jersey? I have been looking to pick one up for a few years now, but I know of no regular distributor. I think they were ade by Descente.?.?
