You'll have to take my word for it, but there is some bike stuff in there.

This summer, after our wedding, I hope to finally get it organized and finished.

I see some in the back to the right side.

Or maybe I will featured on an episode of Hoarders some day.

That would be an amazing hoarders episode!! Keep buying and filling up that space. To increase your chances of coverage, would you consider those shows that do "interventions?"

No.

I only have 12 bikes.

This is what I do so it is not a hobby shop and quite a few of those rolling antiques get used for display and educational purposes... a few of the bikes are loanable for when people drop off bikes for work (and need a lift), and my primary bikes number 4. These get used for most of my riding throughout the year.

I also have a dedicated touring bike, road bike, mountain bike, and a tandem.

I browse through this thread and the only thing that comes to mind is: "Horders, the BF version"!!!

House we're buying has a 16'x24' manufactured steel building. I'll need to pour a concrete pad and put in electric, but I'm excited! Will be storage for bikes, shop area and I will move in my trainer, treadmill and elliptical trainer.

Our frame shop is contained within a quansit shed... it works wonderfully save for the lack of useable wall space.

I don't have a dedicated shop in this house yet. For the current project, I'm set up in a my home office.

Yup it's working pretty hard. I had to call the manufacturer just to make sure it wasn't going to brake the arm off or something.

I don't have much space to work with so I have a music/bike room. I store all my tools in a crawl space under the fake fireplace to the right.

I always listen to music when I work so I certainly get this space!

I've started from scratch building several commercial shops. It's awesome.

Give it a good think and make as much stuff as possible freestanding so it's easier to adjust down the line as needs change. My space is pretty bare bones at the moment (a lot of stuff yet to arrive) but I know it will fill in pretty quickly. I've only worked in it about 2 weeks but I've already made changes.

Bike stand. Bought a $12 halogen light from Lowe's and mounted it on the rafter for increased light in the work area. Also did the same for each of the dart boards.

Nice! You have some cool stuff in there. Diverse crop of really cool and funky bikes. (The Tarmac isn't even my favorite.) But I love the stool the most! Did you make it?

We've got 15 or 16 bikes here between the four of us. Everything from road to mountain to some old cruisers. What we ride will depend mostly on what we're doing.

I'll put 8 miles on this one at a time.

That stool was an art project for college. Two 20" wheels that were trash from the LBS, some used crutches, about six tubes out of the trash at the LBS, 2" foam, some 3/4" plywood, then a few carriage bolts, screws, 3M spray adhesive, and staple gun to make it. They're simple to make. Here's a shot of the bottom of the seating surface.

Great toys! I plan to get a Jeep for exploring my northern NM area. It will go in the regular garage, and keep the steel building free for other activities.

I hear you. Even with dedicated space in my man cave shown on the first page, my recently completed first build was done in the warm confines of a spare room... with my wife's permission, of course.:thumb:

+1 on the stool.

A shop after my own heart... :)

Built a couple of wheel hangars last night and found the top of my work bench.

That is a really good looking bike you've done there.
Assuming you created the color and paint theme...its very nice work.

It gets used for EVERYTHING in the garage. I'm going to have to build a couple more so people don't fight over who's going to use it.

Here's a shot from March 30th - before I organized. Several bikes on the floor while I worked on a Schwinn frame for one of the mechanics at the LBS.

Thanks! However, I can't take credit for the paint. It's the 2011 PedalForce QS3. They went decal-less. Which I like.

Sixty Fiver 04-24-11 11:11 PM

Got my wheels organized and have one more rack to build... require one 2x4, some 310mm spokes, and a few lengths of worn out chain to hang it up.

http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikep...pwheelrack.JPG

Got the mountain of stuff on my desk sorted out today as well.

Ohmannuel 04-24-11 11:24 PM

@sixties fever
Very nice, you have the mat for your feet wont get tired and everything.
What model bike stand is that?
