Post Your Personal Workspace
Some may feel that this thread may be better served in the Mechanic's Forum but I don't live there.
The purpose of this thread is to display, celebrate, critique and bemoan the places we are allotted to show our rides some lovin'.
Recently my company has moved into a new and much larger office, warehouse and work shop space. This has afforded me a new personal workspace. I've had about a week to finally take advantage and to work out the kinks.

The basics are in place. Missing are the bike stand (yet to arrive) and the mechanic's chest that will go under the bench and house the specialty tools.
Also not shown are the 3.5HP compressor (all the lines are not run yet) and the solvent tank in the wet room to the right. There will also be a computer off to the left that will be specifically for technical use that is waiting software.
Over the last 25 years I have had access to work spaces ranging from full, well appointed shops to alcoves leading outdoors that often competed with boots and dog toys for floor space.
Show us yours or talk **** about ours. All comers are welcome.

Wow, the last time my workspace (garage) was that neat was the day I bought the house. I did a little cleaning last weekend, but you have inspired me to get back out this Saturday and make it at least look presentable.

It certainly looks more lived in than mine. it seems you've had time to get things where they work best for the tasks at hand.
I like how you have the tools grouped. I've set up probably more that 20 commercial workspaces by now and, IMHO, there is no best way to hang/group tools. There are some basics you seem to have covered like having the tools you use most within reach and having power handy ( I notice you have a nice mallet). But a workspace designed for bike building, wheel building or general mechanics do look different.
I could work there.

Mine is sort of a catch all workspace for a home mechanic. You will notice that there are not that many bike specifice tools in that picture. I keep them all in a toolbox now, so that they are easily portable to friends places to fix kids bikes, etc. I keep the common tools to the left so they are easily reachable even when the workspace extender is folded out, like it is in this shot. It folds down to allow parking space for the car. Also the bins are the bottom are on rollers and I store less commonly used stuff in them. Each of the cabinets has a specific usage as well. The left most holds measuring and drafting tools, drill bits, fasteners and the like. The next holds lubricants, polishes and adhesives. The ones on the right hold automotive specific producst and gardening products, esp. herbicides and insecticides.

This used to look a lot nicer till 2/3 of the tools went to work 8 states West of here. Thats OK, it made me feel less bad about hanging the Park tool pouch over some of them. I may put together a wheel building jig and get a bike stand if I decide to race this year.
Pardon the bike, the picture was really easy to get at.

Here's mine. I plan to build a bench where the turkey fryer, generator, dip bar et al are located. It's crowded, yes. When I back the cars out it opens up a bit.

Actually the company who sold me all the parts (including wood) makes these for use as commercial shelving. They can be made any length, width or height. I extended the back legs and attached a tool board to it. It is a completely stand alone unit and can be slid out for cleaning or if I want to adjust the space.
It is ROCK SOLID.

Well if it's personal space as in working on my bikes this would be it.
If it's Work space as in the 4 letter word, this is my shop for my boat repair and restoration business.

My father did cabinetery work for Shepard's Boats (long been sold) in the late 60's and early 70's. I still have vague memories of the place.
