Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Road Thread Needed

Geez...try and have a little fun in this thread by engaging in a little trash talk and some of ya blow your stack. Just trying to have a little fun, 53-11 style!!

I think another thread is needed, "Road Cycling for the Sensitive Type."

Well, I'm so hardcore that this weekend I broke my frame. It just couldn't take the kind of riding of which I'm capable. So much for steel is real - I need something really tough like cast iron, none of these darn hollow frames made of weedy tubes.

Erm, sorry...

Last month I was riding along and decided to start sprinting. So I jump out of the saddle and accelerate so fast that my rear tire blows. RAWWRRRR

PS I can bench like 5000 lbs...With my head.

Anyone know where I can get inconel 718 steel toothed chain rings? I ruined another big ring by stripping the teeth clean off while doing wind sprints up the side of my neighbors barn. Darn wimparse aluminum. Can I get rings in that new fancy carbon stuff

I wouldn't recommend a 718 tooth chainwheel; not without a chain guard for your balls.

Your seat must be massive! Or do you tie a board across it to stop it disappearing up your arse?

I remember back in the old days we couldn't afford cycling shoes, so we nailed the cleats directly to our bare feet.

CLEATS?!?!?!? Jeez, we've got a millionaire here.
