Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

NOS Dura Ace front hub pricing?

Does anyone know what the average going price for a NOS Dura Ace front hub is? I tried to look on eBay but there doesn't seem to be much to reference.

It looks like this:

Those look like 7700. The hubs don't really come around too much but I've seen 7700 wheelsets (e.g., laced to open pro) typically go for about $150 used on CL (and about $220 on eBay).

I don't know much about Dura Ace hubs, but I'm thinking it might be a 7400. They all look really similar to me, haha.

The one I'm looking at picking up is for sale for $25.

If you can pick up a NOS DA 7400 series hub for $25...that's a steal. When I picked up my front/rear NOS I paid well over $200. Don't regret it for a minute, though.

I'm thinking of lacing up a wheelset next semester and this hub would probably be a good start. I doubt there are any better choices for $25. I've only ridden cheap loose ball hubs and decent sealed bearing hubs, and I was really surprised how smooth the DA hub spun compared to both.

Quick question: If the wheel had been laced before I would be able to tell, right? I tried to look for any evidence of lacing and it looked like a new hub. The tag on the hub says "NOS", but I'd like to verify before buying.
