Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seriously, stop wearing bandanas.
You don't like the look, and you want bandana users to solve your problem by not wearing them? I suspect you'll spend your next life is a pool of water, and bandanas won't be an issue for you at all.

I'm thinking of wearing one because the helmet holes carve my hair and I end up looking like Lisa Simpson at the end of a ride. I do have a winter skull cap but the weather is now getting too warm for it, so maybe this is a good excuse for me to buy one of those Brooklyn cycling cap.

I regularly have a cotton sweatband under the helmet. Helps keep the sweat out of the eyes. I'm not that concerned about whether it is high fashion or not. Stingy eyes and riding with one eye closed doesn't make much for a fashion statement.

All this hate for bandanas has only strengthened my resolve to continue wearing them.

I was a mod for quite a while. Bad things happened man. Bad Things

Much worse that what happens if you were a bandana while not listening to Van Halen. The Great Foo Meltdown was epic.

Buff

I like to wear a buff under my helmet. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I cannot imagine being a bandana, much less being a bandana and not listening to VH. I guess I really am not a serious cyclist.

Tiger stripe is probably the loudest and most immediately identifiable for cheese.

I had some micro fiber material thing I could put on my head like a bandana, but I lost it. In the winter I used it if the weather was especially cold as an extra layer, and in the summer I would get it wet before a ride and it would work as air conditioning. Now that it's getting warmer I'll have to replace it.
