Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

how much time do you spend/waste on here?

maybe 1-2 hours whenever I go on.

I think I am addicted to this thing and I want to cut down but not quit. Is that possible?

I check in if I'm bored or waiting for something to download. It's nice to help people out, they help you out and to find some new things out.

But there wasn't a 30 mins a day mark, so 1 hour for me.

I get off work at 7 am in the morning and have no responsibilities for 72 hours other than to get my child to school. So I just surf the web for three days here and there.

I am in and out of here while at work so if I am quiet I could spend quite a while mooching around.

The shortest poll option is ten minutes, and the next shortest is one hour?

Makes sense.

"how much time do you spend/waste on here?"

The difference between both answers is not surprisingly, very, very small.

Is this per day? Per week?

If it's daily that's sad...get a life folks (that means you VV)!

I'm sure many see it more as an investment rather than a waste

Too much, but I need to look busy at work, and this at least keeps me looking at my computer and occasionally typing.

Yes, once you've seen every question roll through here a couple of times, you'll move on to the SS/FG or the C & V, or God help you, the A & S. Every time you peek in on the 41, the thread titles will seem the same, with maybe a new character to replace sincity or Botto or Cypress.

The following topics should be banned:

Patentcad
BikesDirect
Compact vs. Traditional
Pro Jerseys
Polls
bibs vs. shorts
which bike?
which wheelset?

I wonder what R600 Dura Ace is up to or that kid that loved Jan Ullrich.

I find that when I get tired of the hand-wringing and idiocy here, I'll cut down visits and go to a photography forum, instead... where I'll find there's just as much hand-wringing, insecurity and idiocy, which will drive me back here. Rinse, repeat.
