Hollowgram SL question.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Should I buy the cannondale spindle/bb? I got my hands on a hollowgram SL crankset off a cannondale superx bike and from the cannondale website, it states that the bb/spindle used is the FSA version.

Should I ditch the FSA stuff and get my hands on a proper cannondale bb/spindle? Even though I know the stock cannondale ceramic bearings that come on the bb/spindle is crap, I will prob upgrade to a better cermaic bearing set or use the FSA bearings that is paired with the FSA BB set on the superx. Thanks

the cannondale spindle only works with hollowgram cranks, fsa stuff won't work. you need a 104mm spindle for a double crank, along with bearing shields, shims and wavy washer

Well, the spindle that is with the hollowgram that i am referring to must be the hollowgram spindle then, from what you are stating. Strange, if you go on cannondale's site, and click on the superx spec, it states bb fsa, although it has hollowgram sl. Thanks

The spindle is part of the crank, not the bb. They probably just used FSA bearings in the frame.
