Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2005 dolce on Ebay - what should I pay?

Hi guys. I am thinking about getting a road bike and here is a WSD specialized in my size. I am wondering if anyone has an idea as to what should be the top price for this bike. Also, what do you think about getting a bike off ebay? There are not really any WSD bikes for sale much around here. Here is a link to the bike on ebay:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_3560wt_152

Thanks for your input!

that is a very small bike I am surprised its not set up with 650's - toe overlap might be concern. The components are nice its odd to have the Sora FD on it with all the Ultregra - but easy to upgrade I guess. If you know it will fit I have no issues with buying off ebay as there are some good deals to be had. Personally I would draw the line someplace around $500 unless I really needed something now.

$500-$600. Or at a least $1 higher than your competition.

another thing would be to em the seller and ask what reserve is at - if they will share that info - it might be higher than what you want to consider then you can move on without wasting time on it. And I never start bidding until within a hour of the end of the sale..just don't understand the reasoning for jumping in early.
