not to mention a better anti-depressant, social anxiety drug, a better alternative to vit-d supplements. better at treating SAD(if you ride after sunrise). The list is just too huge. I know that if I could ride more than I do on a daily basis I could probably get off my sleep meds.

I didn't watch the video but I'm sure it was cute.
I'm glad to see you and others were working OT last night to keep this thing going. We're up to page 3.
I still have hopes of beating the "over", but in case I don't, how much is this going to cost me

I've joined the haters.
We're starting our own cult that will be run off of Facebook.

Well, if nothing else, it looks like pcad has himself a new e-stalker. I keep wondering how many more BarryJo posts we'll see before he starts telling us the contents of pcad's garbage cans.

The majority of serious riders clearly have addictive personalities.
It's bad, so bad I'm already suffering from the mere thought of withdrawal when I leave for Florida in 10 days.
I am planning a lot of riding between now and then.
Riding or exercise of any kind will not be an option while I'm down there.

Don't worry, as long as you have internet access you'll still be able to stalk pcad.

What kind of effed up Gomer name is 'BarryJo' anyway?

For a mere $20 I was able to get a complete history of his life through Intellus.
It saved me 2 months of having to read through his 45,000+ posts.
Ain't the internet grand?

You've got everyone figured out, don't you? :innocent:

One I regret choosing. It was an alais assigned to my work email.
If you want to know, I have the same name as a somewhat famous movie composer who recently passed away.
Now you have the power to run a background check on ME!

I'll take the over.

It's short for BJ. get it? heh?

I think these threads are just excuses for the post-counters to increase their numbers.

Carry on.

This morning, a woman in pink, larger in size but riding a Giant, caught and dropped some dude mashing desperately on his Madone.

I watched it all from the bus. Must have been the bike.

Bear in mind that the early line was pre-BJ troll.

One person's troll is another person's amusing himself.
But I'm sure Dr. Pete will refute this and continue to brand me a stalker.
He's got a degree so he is all knowing.

sbxx1985 06-03-11 08:49 AM

DrPete - you still riding that P2? What wheels?

Really? I'm all knowing? I didn't know that, so I suppose I've refuted your statement.

And just because you're amusing yourself by stalking and trolling doesn't mean that's not what you're doing.

Still riding the P2, and I have a pair of 808 Firecrest carbon clinchers on the way. When I wasn't doing a lot of races it made sense to rent fancy wheels from Race Day, but now that I'll be riding/racing more again I decided to splurge on my own. It was kinda fun to play with all the assorted Zipp goodies, though. The Super 9 disc, for instance, is a lot of fun, but something I won't be able to afford any time soon...

+ a bazillion

Three years ago I could not walk half a block and could not swing a leg over a bike and was very depressed as my whole world had been flipped sideways... went from being a very active person who put in 10-12 hour days, volunteered extensively, and rode his ass off to someone who could not tie his own shoes.

Was going to race masters and had been training to that end and felt that I was ready to compete and then I was knocked back to a point where just riding around the block was an accomplishment.

There will never be a complete recovery... doctor and physiotherapist attribute the recovery I have made to the fact I am still able to ride and lay down some serious miles. Doctor jokes that he could beat me in a foot race and tip me over pretty easily (balance is not all that) but that I would destroy him on a bike.

My youngest daughter is a pretty energetic and some would say, hyperactive little girl and for her, cycling is also good medicine as it has a calming influence and helps her sleep while my oldest daughter is totally non athletic until she saddles up and then she is pure grace on a bicycle and is blessed with perfect form.

My fiance has suffered from chronic pain issues for decades and has survived cancer twice... she has been car free for 10 years and cycling has allowed her to stay in great shape and offset medication issues and it does wonders for her mental health. When she cannot ride she is not a happy lady and wants to attempt century rides with me on our new tandem... a distance she has never even conceived she could ride solo.

My housemate broke his back twice, has serious balance issues and issues with dependence on medications... he takes stuff that would put me in a coma just to manage his pain. Just hooked him up with a trike which he loves as it gives him greater freedom to travel and exercise is a great tonic.

I understand pcad's addiction intimately.

Funny part is the only reason people started calling me that was because there were two guys named Pete on our team and it simplified things. At least now I get to be labeled an all-knowing elitist by tools on the internet.

You missed the point of the Pcult thread, and you clearly missed the point of my earlier postings in this thread.
So to that point I retract my original assertion that you are all knowing.

Sweet.

I ride with some tri geeks. Instead of renting Zipps on race day, which she usually does, one of them just picked up some psimet 50mm carbon clinchers. Rob got them done in time for Boise next weekend.

BTW - under circumstances you know nothing about, neither you or anyone else on this board would want to be going down there to take care of what it is I need to go down there to take care of.
So not only no riding, I don't expect I'll be spending a whole lot of time on internet forums either.
