This sort of elitist attitude is exactly what this forum needs less of. Don't forget you were a noob once as well. You basically did not contribute or propel the discussion in any way, so why don't you just not say anything at all? You may sound like less of an ass if you did that.
The OP's original post was tee'd up for less than a purely straight response; I think he got the humor in the whole thread and played along. And actually I think I made exactly the point that needed to made. If you understand why the disc is there, and can adjust the bike so you don't need it, then you can take it off; otherwise, you are better off with it there. And as for me being an ass, not advancing discussions, I'd gladly match the substance of my contributions to BF to yours, both substantively, and entertainment value wise any day. So LTFU, and HTFU. |
Peace guys... No need to argue even over a bad joke...

Hey Spookeay!
I was just looking at the pic and tagline in your sig. Are you sure you didn't accidentally include a picture of the perp rather than the detective? Unless my eyes deceive me, I'm seeing street shoes, oversized seat bag and pump, valve caps, neither pedals nor wheels are in optimum position for photographing (pedals should be in 3 and 9 o'clock positions, wheels should have stems at bottom or hidden), insulated water bottle, and spacers above the stem. Also, cassette looks huge. I couldn't tell if you have low gears for climbing or if the dork disk may still be there ;) You always know your under surveillance when the too clean stock ford POS is parked outside your door. |

So let me get this straight... You removed the gear cluster and dork disc, painted it black, then reinstalled it?
That's Fred right there. |

LOL, Well. Just trying to blend in to the surroundings.
You always know your under surveillance when the too clean stock ford POS is parked outside your door. Be aware that the targets of your investigations might see right through your camouflage. To fool them, you need to put on a bunch of weight, look a lot less fit, and definitely not strike such an OCP pose. Adding a mirror would be a nice touch. Also, I can't tell for certain from the pic, but it looks like your glasses are correctly on the outside of your helmet straps -- when undercover, the straps should always be on the outside. |

Well aren't you special.
If you have a problem with how other people set up their bikes, I suggest you find a new hobby instead of trolling BF. |
