Don't bottles crack when you freeze them?
By the way, where does everyone get free bottles? I've only gotten one in the last six years.

Cold water the whole time on tonight's ride; about an hour and a half. It was around 100 degrees and sunny.
The small bottle was solid ice at the start and fits on the underside cage. The Camelbak was ice cubes and water.

The last free bottle I can remember getting was like 10 years ago. The $3 bottle I got at the Scottsdale LBS is waaaay better than any of the free bottles I got over the years.

I only have 2 free water bottles, one with an order I placed with a shop, the other with a coupon last year from the interwebz. The Podium Chill bottles work great.
And yes, you can freeze them.

Hey LAJ,
Hope your summer has been going well. The afternoon storms have been a drag for riding/commuting, but nice for the fire danger and my lawn.
Anyway, I just threw your name out there in another thread. Just FYI.

The summer is going great, but agree on the storms. Was riding in WA last week, so I missed some of the nonsense. I was guilted away from the Saturday climbing ride though, as my yard was such a mess from the Friday night storms. I hit some goals I was aiming for early, so the big distance is on the back burner now, and I just would like to regain some speed. I have found riding long doesn't equate well to riding fast. 2 and 300K's will be the rides of choice now.
I hope your summer is going well also. Seems floods or fire is the name of the game in Boulder. Paradise has its drawbacks, at times. Anything at all positive to report on the Wee One yet?
More than welcome to use my name in a positive way such as that. Thanks for the heads up.

Heading back to Africa in two weeks. If all goes well, the sbxx household will be +1 by August.

I hope the two weeks goes by in a successful blink for you two, and the trip there and back is without incident. That is really great news.
