Looking for a good LBS

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for a good LBS

I've recently relocated from L.A. to NYC (more specifically Brooklyn), and I am looking to buy a new road bike, so I'm just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for a Brooklyn or Manhattan bike shop that will not try and screw me on prices, and be knowledgable, helpful, and friendly?

Welcome! I did La-La Land a few years ago.

Get your hands on one of the free New York City Bike Maps.
On the back, you'll find a list of just about every LBS locally.
As for who's good in BKLN, there are a few members
here who can better answer that than me.
