You Shall All Covet The New Addiction

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I hope for a speedy recovery for your cat, and a quiet 2 weeks.

In the instances that the screaming gets too bad my wife has been known to take the cat/dog back into the clinic and board them for a few days of peace and quiet. Ask your vet if they will do the same if it gets bad.

I just spoke to him. She did great through the surgery. Total Lateral Menisectomy, partial medial menisectomy and stabilization. She tore EVERYTHING in that knee. He said it went great, and was planning to give us a sedative for her for the 2 wk period.

I've mentioned this before, but if any of you animal lovers are looking for a great place to donate some money, the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah has been our favorite.

Vick's dogs, if you can call them "his dogs," went to Best Friends.

I was a big fan of the Denver Dumb Friends League https://www.ddfl.org/ from when we lived in Littleton. We adopted 2 cats from there, one of whom still lives at my office (now 16 y/o)

Dumb Friends League appreciates food donations all through the year. Many folks help out around Christmas, but food gets a little scarce at other times of the year.

Most of my friends have adopted from Denver Dumb Friends. It's hard to go there and not come home with some animal. I know my wife too well.

Hey everyone, trying something new for the addiction threads. From now on addiction threads (aka off topic, foo of the road) are going to be around for one month. Once a new month begins, a new thread is going to start.

The good news, the threads should stay "short" enough that there will be no need to trash them. The bad news, they will be closed.

Anyway, post away, have fun, and keep it off topic. Actually, off topic, on topic, whatever. Just enjoy.

See new thread, closing the doors on this one. As far as I know this one is going to stay around since there are a minimum number of deleted posts and ghost pages.
