Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How is a sticker making the seat drop? Are you sure the bolt is tight enough?

For the residue, any adhesive remover will work.

The sticker wasn't removed and it was left on the post. The post would lower and accordion the sticker and smear the glue. I removed the sticker thinking that would be the end of it. It hasn't been and yes, I have used a 4mm key, not that much torque.
