Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Removing WCS Logo

I would like to remove the WCS logo on my stem because I bought it used and it's in terrible shape in regards to logo fading.

What products should I use to remove the logo?

Thanks,
Ashley

did it leave a blemished surface? im afraid it might damage the aluminum and i might have to wax the damaged surface out.

which stem do you have? alum or carbon?
If its alum and whole stem is scratched up and faded then strip the entire stem and repaint it.

if its just the wcs on the flat black stems them automotive rubbing compound will work, acetone (nail polish remover like other poster said)
if its a glossy stem you might have to re clear the stem. but if you have to do that I would repaint the entire stem. I painted the face plates anno red to match anno red bits on bike.

i should have explained better. it is an older silver aluminum post. looking back i think i had to hit it with some light rubbing compound after the acetone. ive done the same with several clear anodized parts. if it is a black stem i am not sure what the best method is. they have a different finish on them.
