Local tailor wouldn't fix holes in my torn bib

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

He is correct. I have had this problem and attempted repairs. They all pull through.

Wouldn't it be easier apply black-colored Sharpie to your leg where the hole/tear appears? Certainly economical as I think a pack of 5 Sharpies can be had on sale for about $2-$3; should last a long time. I guess you could get an all-black tattoo as well.

^This. I had a hole in arm warmers from a crash, and the tailor found some stretchy fabric similar to it and sewed it in as a patch. Not super pretty, but better than throwing away relatively new stuff.

Glad I could help. It is definitely easier to find these places with this here interweb thing. I found out about Kucharik from friends at the Encino Velodrome back in the 90's. Even back then, the company seemed to be as old as the bicycle itself, so they must be doing something right.

+1 on sending to Assos. If you bought from a lbs they will handle everything and you won't even pay shipping (personal experience with the s5 f1.13 or whatever the top one is).

This month's Peloton mag has an article on Assos and mentions their generous repair policy as well.

Btw the f1 uno is more comfortable than the f13 on long rides and you can almost buy 2 uno for the price of the f1.
