18 degrees when I woke up and slow to warm; so I (gulp) ran 7 miles
Short, cold days bringing an end to the 2011 season; skiing starts for real tomorrow
Feeling like a bloated tick - burp......

23 miles at 10a. Temps were around 40, so I thought it would be a great time to check out my Izumi Lobster Claw winter gloves. My gloves were soaked with sweat 15 mins into the ride. Guess I should wait till we're below freezing.

I'm doing this.
Yesterday was a 68mi ride
Today was a short 13.6mi recovery ride
Tomorrow should be another ~45mi
Saturday is an 80mi
Sunday is probably another 40mi

68 miles today. Very painful due to the massive winds on the way there and on the way back. Very tired today.

Nice easy 20 miler this morning before we got together with the neighbors for a "left over" feast!! Then Dave Rowe, formerly of the Oakland Raiders, and my other next door neighbor brought over this photo of our "neighborhood" bear.... now I know what's been keeping my dogs up at night.

Planning to try to squeeze in a metric tomorrow in the AM.
Edit: completed, yay! 64.6 mi. I bit too cold when I left at 6:15AM (35F) but a nice 55F by the time I got back at a bit before 11AM. Got a rear flat at almost exactly the halfway mark, and only had the one spare (stupid I know), and my trusty frame pump. Yerck.

Got in a quick hour today before sunset. Great weather. I just did eight back and forths on this 2.5 mile stretch near the house. Sounds boring but it is a beautiful road, and it is the only road near my house that lets you get into a rhythm. No stop signs, steep hills, or major traffice to get in the way.
