Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They ride custom Condor bikes, usually.

I saw it, or part of it, on PBS (WHYY) as a precocious 7 year old in the '80s. I think It made a deep impression on me. When I found it on youtube decades later it was like a flashback.

Wow, that's about $1000 just in clothing. I'm sure it's great stuff, but dang it's not priced for the regular guy.

Koyaanisqatsi is great. It's hard to say whether I liked Baraka more.

I save/saved a decent amount of that by buying bundles (usually ~20% off of the individual prices) and getting the rain jacket and smaller stuff through their 50% summer sale.

I would rather spend a little more, once; than spend a little all the time. I used to buy stuff off bonktown but the quality is just really hit or miss. My Castelli bibs have loose threads all over the place and another vest's zipper self-destructed after only ~5 uses.

Einstein on the Beach would have been more fun for Glass fans.

I have a copy of the original, un-hacked-up version of that movie. Does that count?

I love watching those film. It's like watching skate videos before you go out skating(back in the days) Plus those beautiful locales(I'm in NYC) motivates me to get stronger and save money so I can take bike vacations. Race footage is fun and all, but I like short films about biking that reminds me why I love to ride.

I only have a few things by Rapha but I love them all. Jersey is super comfortable and one of the best I own, cap comes in different sizes so they actually fit my small head and I have few of their accessories. The city riding stuff is great. The pants are well made and sturdy, the shirts fit well and looks sharp.

My girlfriend just bought me the Classic Softshell jacket, which is better than any jacket I've ever had. It's a step up from the Gore jacket that I loved.
